This workshop has 2 parts: Acrobatic work and Partnering Acro-yoga work.
For the acrobatic work; join athlete, gymnast and general powerhouse Kay Reddy for a Sunday Funday of going upside down, exploring and playing with possibilities around acrobatic movements in yoga. Want to learn to safely do a backward roll, a handstand, a headstand? There are lots of light-hearted variations we can offer to help you access these poses and dynamic movements.
April and Kensey Monopoli, resident yoga teacher at Arial BVI will guide the second part of this workshop in acro-yoga partnering work. We’ll cover principles in ‘stacking our skeleton’ for strength and balance, eye contact for communication and trust and the use of imagery and developmental patterning to defy gravity!
Come with an open mind and a playful spirit and get ready to surprise yourself!
