This year, the Olympic Day global theme is “Let’s Move” designed to inspire people to make time for daily, physical activity.

Join us and Let’s Move on Saturday, June 24 at the 4th annual Olympic Day Sports Festival from 9.00am – 12.00pm with runs/walks on Tortola, Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke starting at 6:30am (6:00am for walkers), 6:30am and 5:30am respectively.

WALK/RUN
* TORTOLA: Trident Trust 10K Championship and Olympic Day Race with a 10k, 5k and 1k run/walk starting from the grounds at 6:30am (6:00am start for walkers) – medals and prizes!
*VIRGIN GORDA: Roundtrip walk/run from the recreational field in Spanish Town to the Baths followed by a friendly softball game on the fields
*JOST VAN DYKE: the dawn walk will start from the Albert Chinnery Administration Building in Great Harbour to the Soggy Dollar parking lot in White Bay and return to Great Harbour.

SPORTS FESTIVAL
Join in a morning of community fun and sporting activity for the whole family. Meet the National Federations and their athletes and learn more about the sporting activities you can get involved with at any level. Have a go at a new sport from Archery through Volleyball and find the sport to suit your lifestyle.

Outdoor fitness circuit station run by Olympian Ashley Kelly as well as Olympian Q & A sessions.
CULTURAL DANCE & HISTORY
The cultural dance station is where the Department of Culture in collaboration with the BVI Heritage Dancers will educate us on the background of some of the VI’s traditional dances and teach us the steps!

ANTI DOPING, HEALTH & NUTRITION
Find out from the BVI National Anti-Doping Commission what is meant by “clean sport”. Understand the importance of interpreting ingredients on supplements and medication. Learn more about health and nutrition from Ms. Patrice Maduro and Dr. Harmonie Massiah of the Public Health Unit and find out how to set goals and optimise your performance in everyday activities and lifestyle.
